Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about the institutional path, municipal pilots, pricing, and security.

Platform Usage

MuniGrowth is an institutional development operating system for municipalities, NGOs, and development partners. It provides one structured workflow to assess local needs, build strategies, develop projects, identify funding, manage approvals, deliver work, and measure impact — with multilingual support.

Request a municipal pilot or quote from the Contact page. After onboarding, create your institution workspace, invite teammates, and follow the guided institutional path. There is no free-plan consumer signup.

Yes, MuniGrowth is fully responsive and works on tablets and mobile phones. While we recommend desktop for complex planning tasks, data viewing, approvals, and monitoring can be done comfortably on mobile.

The platform interface supports English, Arabic (with full RTL layout), and French. Project exports can be generated in all three languages. We're continuously adding support for more languages.

Use the language switcher in the top navigation bar to select English, French, or Arabic. Your preference is saved for the session. The entire interface, including menus, forms, and notifications, updates immediately.

Quick Answers

MuniGrowth is built for municipalities, local authorities, regional administrations, and development organizations worldwide that want to strengthen local economic development planning, turn priorities into fundable projects, identify relevant funding opportunities, manage institutional approvals, track implementation, and demonstrate measurable impact.

An LED plan is a strategic document that identifies a municipality's economic strengths, challenges, and opportunities, and outlines concrete projects and actions to stimulate local growth and employment.

No. MuniGrowth is designed for municipal staff without technical backgrounds. The guided wizards walk you through each step, and AI assistance helps you draft content.

MuniGrowth is fully available in Arabic (including right-to-left layout), French, and English.

Once you complete your municipal assessment, stakeholder wizard, and impact wizard, MuniGrowth's AI combines all your data to generate a structured donor proposal following international Results-Based Management standards.

Yes. MuniGrowth uses strict tenant isolation — your data is completely separate from other municipalities and cannot be accessed by other users. All sensitive data is encrypted.

MuniGrowth does not use a one-size-fits-all public pricing plan. Each engagement is scoped to the institution’s size, priorities, number of users, projects, reporting requirements, and implementation needs. Municipalities can begin with a scoped pilot and receive a tailored proposal before making any commitment. Formal purchase orders, bank transfer, government invoicing, and signed contracts are supported.

Yes. You can invite your team members and assign them roles (administrator or member) with different access levels.

Request a municipal pilot or demo from the contact page. We discuss institutional requirements, scope the engagement, and share a tailored proposal before any commitment. After agreement, your institution is onboarded with the guided LED workflow.

LED Planning

The institutional journey has eight stages: Assess → LED Plan → Projects → Funding → Approvals → Implementation → Impact → Reports. Inside LED Plan, the planning wizard uses seven planning steps: (1) Needs Assessment, (2) SWOT Analysis, (3) Stakeholder Involvement, (4) Vision & Goals, (5) Projects & Activities, (6) Impact Measurement, and (7) Monitoring & Evaluation.

Yes. The planning wizard walks you through each phase with questionnaires, templates, and best-practice prompts. You can save progress and return later. The wizard shows completion status for each phase.

Yes. You can upload existing plans and documents, then use MuniGrowth to implement, monitor, and update them. The planning engine is flexible and works with plans created externally.

Projects

Each project supports milestones with deadlines, budget items and spending, risks and mitigation plans, stakeholder mapping, KPIs and targets, and progress updates. You can link projects to LED plans and grant applications.

Yes. Use the duplicate action to copy a project structure (milestones, budget, risks, stakeholders) as a template for a new project. You can edit the duplicated project before saving.

Grants

We maintain a database of 500+ grants from World Bank, EU, AfDB, UN agencies, bilateral donors, and foundations. The database is regularly updated with new opportunities and deadlines.

Yes. Use filters for country/region, sector, budget range, SDG goals, and deadline. The matching algorithm also considers these criteria when recommending grants for your projects.

Select a grant, link it to a project, and use the Apply action. You'll see application requirements and deadlines. You can generate donor-ready proposals (PDF/DOCX) from the Learning Guides module.

Documents & Exports

You can export LED plans and projects as PDF or DOCX. Exports support English, French, and Arabic. Choose Executive, Full, Brief, or Pitch Deck format depending on your audience.

Uploaded documents support version history. You can add a new version, download any version, and see who updated what and when. All versions are retained for audit and compliance.

Organizations & Team

Seven roles: Admin (full access), Planner (LED plans), Project Manager, Analyst (dashboards), Staff (limited), Viewer (read-only), and Donor (grant-focused). Each role has predefined permissions for plans, projects, grants, documents, and settings.

Yes. Scoped institutional engagements can include multiple organizations when agreed in your proposal. You can switch between organizations from the organization menu. Each organization has its own LED plans, projects, and data.

Admins can invite users via email from the invite screen. Invitees receive an email with a link to join your organization. You assign a role during or after invitation.

Analytics & Reporting

The dashboard shows project counts, funding pipeline, KPI completion rates, sector distribution, and grant application status. You can filter by organization, plan, or date range.

Learning & Proposals

Step-by-step guides on LED topics with templates and samples. You can generate donor proposals (Executive, Full, Brief, or Pitch Deck) from your LED plan for grant applications.

Notifications

You receive in-app notifications for milestone deadlines, grant deadlines, document updates, team invites, and system alerts. Email notifications can be configured for critical events.

API & Integrations

Yes. REST API access for organizations, plans, projects, and grants can be included in a scoped institutional engagement when agreed in your proposal. Use token-based authentication. See the API Reference for endpoints and documentation.

Security

MuniGrowth employs multiple layers of security: encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), role-based access control (RBAC), two-factor authentication (2FA), CSRF and XSS protection, SQL injection prevention, audit logging, and automated virus scanning for file uploads. We follow industry best practices for data security.

We designed the platform with data protection best practices in mind — including consent logging, data processing agreements on request, deletion requests, data portability, and transparent privacy policies. Municipal data is stored in isolated tenant workspaces with complete data separation.

Yes, 2FA is available for institutional workspaces. Users can enable TOTP-based two-factor authentication from their profile settings. We support all major authenticator apps including Google Authenticator, Authy, and Microsoft Authenticator.

Data Ownership

You do. Your municipality retains full ownership of all data entered into MuniGrowth. We are a data processor, not a data owner. You can export all your data at any time, and we will delete it upon request.

Absolutely. Before cancellation, you can export all your LED plans, projects, documents, and analytics data. We provide a 30-day grace period after cancellation during which your data remains accessible for export.

We use multi-tenant architecture with row-level security. Each organization's data is completely isolated and inaccessible to other organizations. You cannot see or access another municipality's plans, projects, or documents.

Municipality Onboarding

Most municipalities are up and running within a day. Account setup takes minutes, and the guided workflow helps you start your first LED plan immediately. For larger deployments, our team offers dedicated onboarding support that typically takes 1-2 weeks.

Yes. Institutional engagements include access to documentation and video tutorials. Live webinar or personalized on-site/virtual training can be included in a tailored proposal under your signed agreement.

Donor Collaboration

Our algorithm compares your project metadata (sector, region, budget, objectives, SDG alignment) against available grants in our database. Each match receives a compatibility score from 0-100, helping you prioritize the most relevant funding opportunities.

Donor and development partners included in a scoped institutional engagement can view funded project portfolios, monitor progress, and access standardized reports as agreed. Municipalities control which information is shared with partner organizations through permission settings.

Billing

Billing follows your signed institutional agreement. Organizations are typically billed by invoice with purchase order or wire transfer confirmation after a scoped pilot or quote is approved. Invoices are tracked in your billing workspace.

We'll notify you when you're approaching the capacity defined in your agreement. You won't lose access to existing data. To expand projects, seats, or modules beyond the current scope, contact your account admin for a tailored proposal amendment.

Yes. You can request cancellation according to your agreement terms. Data remains accessible through the active billing period, with an export window for handover.

Pricing is contract-based and tailored to your municipality's scope, implementation needs, and support requirements. Contact us for pricing.

Discount and co-funding options may be available for eligible municipalities, multi-organization deployments, and partner programs. Contact us for a quote based on your context.
